TO HONOR AND COMMEND JESSICA FELICE FOR WINNING THE 2003 "ALL AMERICAN GIRL" COMPETITION

WHEREAS, JESSICA FELICE has been singing and performing all of her life; and
WHEREAS, JESSICA FELICE graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1998, and received a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from Miami University; and
WHEREAS, the "ALL AMERICAN GIRL" all-around competition began as a nationwide search for "The Girl who has it all"; and
WHEREAS, out of thousands who auditioned 45 were chosen to compete in the categories of personality, performance, intelligence and athletic ability and that number was whittled down to 24 contestants and then to 15; and
WHEREAS, the candidates then went to "training camp" where the girls were put through the paces in a vast array of disciplines including athletic ability, mental agility, performance in the popular arts and beauty; and
WHEREAS, at this point viewers at home began voting for who they felt would make the best "ALL AMERICAN GIRL"; and
WHEREAS, JESSICA FELICE won the "ALL AMERICAN GIRL" competition and serves as an exemplary example of the quality of young people that we are blessed to have growing up in our great community; and
WHEREAS, her accomplishments have won her a management contract with 19 Entertainment and a contract with ABC;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby recognizes, honors and commends JESSICA FELICE for winning the nationwide "ALL AMERICAN GIRL" competition and so exceptionally representing our community and proving the caliber of young people that Gahanna sends out into the world.
Section 2. That this Council wishes JESSICA FELICE great success in all of her future endeavors.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council.
