TO AMEND SECTION 165.02, IMPOSITION OF TAX, OF CHAPTER 165, HOTEL MOTEL TAX; OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA; TO BE EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2002.

WHEREAS, it has become necessary to provide additional funding for the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau needs an additional 2% of the Hotel Motel Tax to properly carry on the activities of the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IN ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 165.02, Imposition of Tax, of Chapter 165, Hotel Motel Tax, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, is hereby amended as in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Section 165.02, Imposition of Tax, of Chapter 165, Hotel Motel Tax is hereby amended to reflect these changes.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
