WHEREAS, with a new Director of Public Service in office a recommendation has been made by the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Public Service to reorganize the Public Service Department to create a new position of Project Administrator in a class allocation of 36; and
 
WHEREAS, this reorganization is essential to achieve the long term goals and strategies of the City; and
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward to establish this position for the smooth and efficient running of the Department of Public Service, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That there is hereby created the unclassified position of Project Administrator in the Department of Public Service with duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
 
Section 2.  That compensation is established for the position at a class allocation of 36 and as set forth in ORD-0105-2011.
 
Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
