TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE GAHANNA CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU FOR THE 2013 CALENDAR YEAR FOR THE PROMOTION AND PUBLICITY OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into contract with the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau for promotion and publicity of the City; and
WHEREAS, this contract needs to be in place by January 1, 2013 so it is prudent to pass this legislation as quickly as possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement between the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Gahanna for promotion and publicity of the City of Gahanna; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding will be set aside in the 2013 Appropriations to Account No. 101.356.5456, CVB, Operational Expenses, to cover the herein costs,
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
