TO AMEND THE CONTRACT WITH MOODY NOLAN LTD INC., FOR THE MORSE ROAD/US 62 INTERSECTION ENGINEERING SERVICES, IMPROVEMENT NO. 753; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, ORD-0032-2001 authorized the Mayor to enter into Contract with Moody Nolan Ltd, for engineering design services for the Morse Road/US 62 Intersection; and
WHEREAS, ORD-0063-2001 previously amended this contract to allow for increased environmental work and the preliminary design on two bridges; and
WHEREAS, request was made by the City Engineer to amend the contract again for payment of the environmental work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amended contract with MOODY NOLAN LTD INC., 1776 East Broad Street, Columbus Ohio 43203-2039, for continued engineering design for the Morse Road/US 62 intersection, Improvement No. 753, as outlined in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($155,000) was appropriated in the 2002 Appropriations to Account No. 101.145.5533, Capital Projects Engineering for this project
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
