WHEREAS, BERYL D. ANDERSON had a great desire to serve the City of Gahanna and its citizens, and was appointed to serve on the Board of Zoning & Building Appeals in 2007 where she served until she was elected as City Council Ward 4 Representative to begin her term January 1 of 2008; and
WHEREAS, BERYL D. ANDERSON has served on Gahanna City Council for six years on various committees including, Finance Service & Safety, Development & Parks, and Parks Service & Safety, Committee of the Whole and was chair of the Finance Committee in 2011; and
WHEREAS BERYL D. ANDERSON was instrumental in the establishment of the Communications Committee in 2008, and they developed a Mission Statement for the Committee; "To improve the two way communication between the Gahanna City government and the Gahanna Community" and this was a continued goal throughout her tenure; and
WHEREAS, BERYL D. ANDERSON has also been instrumental in advocating for minority businesses in Gahanna always working to make her community a better place to live for all; and
WHEREAS, BERYL D. ANDERSON put her heart and soul into serving the citizens of Gahanna and will be missed by those who had the pleasure to work with her;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration do hereby honor and commend BERYL D. ANDERSON for her service as Ward 4 Council Member, and wish her continued success and in all future endeavors of which we know there will be many.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
