TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH CALDWELL CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE FOR PURCHASE OF A SPRINTER 2500 SHC VAN FOR THE WATER & SEWER DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, bids were opened on August 12, 2008 for a Sprinter van for the Water & Sewer Department; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed with the lowest, most responsible, most responsive bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award, and the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with CALDWELL CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE, 1888 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, for purchase of a Sprinter 2500 SHC Van; bid tabs attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part hereof.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 651.350.5512, Water Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of TWENTY TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 661.360.5512, Sewer Capital Equipment, to further cover the herein costs.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
