TO AMEND SECTION 1165.05, DEFINITIONS, SECTION 1165.07, MODIFIED STANDARDS, AND SECTION 1165.08, PROHIBITIONS, OF CHAPTER 1165, SIGNS, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, at the request of the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Commission has reviewed amendments to the Sign Code that she has proposed; and
WHEREAS, there have been increasing code enforcement issues with stab signs and banners due to various code interpretations; and
WHEREAS, Council held Public Hearing on September 15, 2003, said meeting held pursuant to notice and according to law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 1165.05, Definitions, Section 1165.07, Modified Standards, and Section 1165.08, Prohibitions, of Chapter 1165, Signs, are hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Section 1165.05, Definitions, Section 1165.07, Modified Standards, and Section 1165.08, Prohibitions, of Chapter 1165, Signs, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
