AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH INSITUFORM TECHNOLOGIES, LLC FOR THE 2020 SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; WAIVING SECOND READING.

WHEREAS, the 2020 sanitary sewer improvement project consists of heavy cleaning, pipe lining and sewer pipe point repairs; and
WHEREAS, the project includes sewers located in the Royal Manor and Brentwood subdivisions; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Thursday, August 20, 2020 with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder being Insituform Technologies, LLC with a bid of two hundred twenty nine thousand nine hundred seventy nine dollars and seventy five cents ($229,979.75); and
WHEREAS, a 5% contingency is requested to cover any unforeseen project costs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with Insituform Technologies, LLC., 3898 Welden Drive, Lebanon, Ohio, 45036 for the 2020 Sewer Improvement Project.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of two hundred forty one thousand dollars four hundred seventy nine dollars ($241,479.00) has been set aside in the 2020 Appropriations to cover the herein costs:
$233,200.00 from Account 662.11.000.5505 Sewer Cap Proj.
$8,279.00 from Account 662.11.000.5205 Sewer Capital Contract Services
Section 3. The second reading is hereby waived.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
