WHEREAS, price quotes have been obtained for copiers for City Hall and the Service Director has recommended we proceed to lease; and

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this immediately, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Lease Agreement with MT BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES, 750 Green Crest Drive, Westerville, Ohio 43081, for lease of 8 copiers for City Hall.

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED NINETY EIGHT DOLLARS ($27,698) was set aside in the 2006 Appropriations to Account No. 101.141.5276, Lands & Buildings, Lease Expense, to cover the herein costs.

Section 3.  That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
