TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPLY FOR THE MID-OHIO REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION (MORPC) ATTRIBUTABLE FUNDS FOR THE BIG WALNUT TRAIL - SECTION 8
BODY
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking alternative funding for the Big Walnut Trail - Section 8; and
WHEREAS, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) utilizes an application and selection process to allocate a portion of federal transportation funding, also known as the MORPC Attributable Funds; and
WHEREAS, the MORPC application requires a Resolution of Authorization to be passed by the governing body to seek this funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to submit the project request application to MORPC for the Attributable Funds in furtherance of alternative funding for the Big Walnut Trail - Section 8.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
