TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH BROAD & JAMES TOWING TO PROVIDE TOWING SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR 2015 AND 2016.

WHEREAS, the City needs to have towing service for impounded cars 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a response time of not more than 30 minutes; and
 
WHEREAS, the Police Chief has recommended that we continue to use Broad & James Towing;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a 2 year Agreement with BROAD & JAMES TOWING, 5202 E. 7th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219, for towing services for the City of Gahanna; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A.
 
Section 2.  That funding will be set aside in the 2015 and 2016 Appropriations to cover the herein costs.
 
Section 3.  That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
