TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH ARCCON INTEGRATED, INC., FOR RENOVATION OF THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICE AREA; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Information Technology office area is in need of renovating; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has obtained quotes and has recommended that we proceed with Arccon Integrated who has done several renovation projects for the City, doing an excellent job; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this legislation as soon as possible all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with ARCCON INTEGRATED, INC., 780 King Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212, for renovation of the Information Technology office area, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7,000) was set aside in the 2003 Appropriations in Account No. 101.348.5511, IT Capital, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That waiver of second reading is requested.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is hereby declared emergency legislation and will be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
