WHEREAS, the Mayor was authorized to enter into contract with Telephone Installation and Maintenance Services by ORD-0117-2002 passed on June 17, 2002; and

 

WHEREAS, the contract was never executed because T.I.M.S. could not provide delivery of the necessary equipment; and 

 

WHEREAS, The City of Gahanna after careful review and consideration wishes to reject all bids and purchases off the State bid list; and

 

WHEREAS, our phone system is experiencing numerous problems and it is critical to get a new system up and running as quickly as possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That ORD-0118-2002, passed June 17, 2002, to authorize the Mayor to enter into Contract with Telephone Installation and Maintenance Services for purchase of a new phone system is hereby repealed.

 

Section 2.  That all bids received on March 22, 2002 for purchase of a new phone system are hereby rejected.

 

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
