TO ACCEPT 1.706+/- ACRES FROM MIFFLIN AND JEFFERSON TOWNSHIPS TO THE CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO, REQUESTED BY THE FRANKLIN COUNTY ENGINEER.

WHEREAS, an application for annexation of 1.706+/- acres from Mifflin and Jefferson Townships to the City of Gahanna, Ohio, has been duly filed and was granted by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, on May 5, 1999; and
WHEREAS, said application an all pertinent proceedings and transcripts have been held for a period of sixty (60) days by the Clerk of Council of the City of Gahanna, Ohio, pursuant to notice and according to law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the application of the FRANKLIN COUNTY ENGINEER, requesting the annexation to the City of Gahanna of 1.706+/- acres, more particularly described in EXHITIT A, hereto, which territory is contiguous to the City of Gahanna, as approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, on May 5, 1999, IS HEREBY ACCEPTED.
Section 2. That an accurate map of the territory, together with the petition for its annexation and other papers in relation thereto and a certified transcript of the proceedings of the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners in relation thereto have been on file with the Clerk of Council of the City of Gahanna for sixty (60) days prior to being presented to this Council ARE HEREBY ACCEPTED.
Section 3. That all property annexed is to be used for right-of-way purposes.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
