TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH BOULEVARD STRATEGIES FOR AN OLDE GAHANNA CREEKSIDE MARKET ANALYSIS AND RECRUITMENT STRATEGY; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $4,650 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, proposal has been received under date of August 8, 2001 for professional services prepare an Olde Gahanna Creekside Market Analysis and Recruitment Strategy; and
WHEREAS, due to the magnitude of the development anticipated in this area and in order to complete the study of this phase of the development in a timely fashion, it is necessary to proceed at the earliest possible date with this study, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with BOULEVARD STRATEGIES, 1384 Grandview Avenue, Columbus, OH 43212, for the completion of an Olde Gahanna Creekside Market Analysis and Recruitment Strategy, said strategy in accordance with proposal dated August 8, 2001, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding for this study is available in the 2001 Appropriations from Account No. 101.343.5253, Development Planning in the amount of Seven Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($7,350), to cover a portion of the herein costs of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000).
Section 3. That FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($4,650) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the General Fund to Account No 101.343.5253, Development Planning, to cover the balance of the herein costs.
Section 4. That ORD-0001-2001 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
