TO ADOPT THE FISCAL IMPACT ANALYSIS/ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES, DATED DECEMBER, 2007

WHEREAS, ORD-0137-2006 authorized a contract with Research Works for a Fiscal Impact Analysis, Community Profile and Economic Development Plan; and
WHEREAS, there was a need to identify the City's economic characteristics and establish priorities, policies, program tasks and activities for an economic development plan for the next twenty-five years; and
WHEREAS, a key component of this study is a Future Fiscal Impact Economic Development Model which will aid the Department of Planning and Development in determining the feasibility of proposed projects; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to proceed to adopt this study in order that plans are in place to address our future economic development growth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby accepts and adopts the FISCAL IMPACT ANALYSIS/ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES, DECEMBER, 2007, prepared by Research Works, said study attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and thirty days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
