WHEREAS, ORD-0011-2008, passed January 2, 2008, established salary and benefits for the United Steel, Paper & Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International employees of the City of Gahanna; and
 
WHEREAS, agreement was reached in collective bargaining negotiations concerning certain job titles that better reflect job duties of three current employees and terms for compensation thereof; and
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this ordinance so that the terms of the agreement can be in place at the same time as ORD-0011-2008, and all for preservation of the public peace health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into LETTER OF AGREEMENT between the City of Gahanna, and the United Steel, Paper & Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International; Letter of Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part hereof.
 
Section 2.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
