TITLE
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A THEN AND NOW PURCHASE ORDER UNDER OHIO REVISED CODE 5705.41(D)(1) FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAINING PROVIDED BY COLUMBUS POLICE ACADEMY
BODY
WHEREAS, funds were not encumbered prior to the use of training services that have been invoiced from Columbus Police Academy in the amount of $11,100 from the police training account; and
WHEREAS, the training class was in session in 2021 during which both the City’s police department and the Columbus Police Academy were working through COVID protocols and employee turnover; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified pursuant to purchase order 23000713 that funds were available then at the time of purchase and now the time of payment, appropriated, collected, or in the process of collection and free from any previous encumbrance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of eleven thousand one hundred dollars ($11,100) has been appropriated and approved pursuant to purchase order 23000713 as certified by the Director of Finance.
Section 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to make payment in the amount of eleven thousand one hundred dollars ($11,100) to Columbus Police Academy for training services (account 101.10.110.5225).
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
