A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS.

WHEREAS, the City has an opportunity to participate in the Rapid 5 project in partnership with MORPC, ULI Columbus, and Metroparks Columbus to create a way to connect all of central Ohio’s major waterways and trails; and
WHEREAS, the overall project has an estimated cost of $400,000 - $500,000 which will include the preparation of renderings/visuals from architectural firms that will demonstrate how these waterways can be transformed into greenspaces and regional connections; and
WHEREAS, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission is requesting support from participating communities in the amount of $10,000 to help defer the overall cost of the project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. City Council authorizes a transfer of appropriations as follows:
From the following accounts:
101.08.310.5105 - Parks Services Full Time Wages - $7,000.
101.08.310.5135 - Parks Services Insurance - $3,000.
To the following account:
101.08.310.5205 - Parks Services Contract Services - $10,000.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
