A RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR THE FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the Franklin County Board of Commissioners through the Federal Housing and Urban Development Program has funds available for Brownfields Redevelopment as part of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna has made a commitment to submit an application to the Franklin County CDBG Program to aid in funding of the Bedford I and II Landfill Closure/Redevelopment Project to benefit the residents in the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna has a critical need for such improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna is eligible to apply for $105,000 towards the total project cost to benefit its citizens and environment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;
Section 1. That the City of Gahanna Council strongly supports the filing of a Community Development Block Grant for brownfields redevelopment to aid in funding of the Bedford I and II Land Closure/Redevelopment.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
