TO AMEND SECTION 339.99, PENALTY, OF CHAPTER 339, COMMERCIAL AND HEAVY VEHICLES, AND TO ENACT SECTION 339.12, VIOLATION OF OHIO REVISED CODE AND PUCO RULES, COMMERCIAL AND HEAVY VEHICLES, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, Gahanna Police Officer Michael Apple has presented Council with a proposal for establishing a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, and
WHEREAS, a change in the Codified Ordinances of the City Gahanna is necessary to incorporate Penalty, and establish Violations in our code:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 339.99, Penalty, of Chapter 339, Commercial and Heavy Vehicles, is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, and Section 339.12, Violation of Ohio Revised Code and PUCO Rules, Commercial and Heavy Vehicles, is hereby enacted as set forth in EXHIBIT B, both attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Section 339.99, Penalty, of Chapter 339, Commercial and Heavy Vehicles, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval of the Mayor.
