Title
TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE THE PROPERTY AT 79 SOUTH HAMILTON ROAD (KNOWN AS THE LUSTRON HOUSE); TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $135,000 THEREFOR
Body
WHEREAS, the City is pursuing the purchase of certain property adjacent to an existing City-owned parcel of land, which is deemed feasible for use by the City in future development and growth of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to purchase the property at 79 South Hamilton Road.
Section 2. That the amount of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($135,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to ACCOUNT NO. 101.343.5511, CAPITAL PROJECTS, DEVELOPMENT, for the purpose of purchasing the property at 79 South Hamilton Road, known as the Lustron House.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 1-98, passed January 2, 1998, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and at the earliest period allowed by law.
