WHEREAS, the Administration has submitted a proposal to this Council for the sale of the City-owned property known as 4545 East Johnstown Road; and

 

WHEREAS, by SR-0006-2007, passed December 17, 2007, the City declared this property as excess land; and

 

WHEREAS, the purchasers of the property, GCS LLC would like to have a closing as quickly as possible; and

 

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to proceed to accept this offer as quickly as possible, and all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement to sell property owned by the City of Gahanna known as 4545 East Johnstown Road for the amount of $35,000, said Agreement attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.

 

Section 2.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
