TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT GRANTING EASEMENTS ON CITY OWNED LAND TO FRANKLIN COUNTY; FOR THE WIDENING OF THE TAYLOR ROAD AND TAYLOR STATION ROAD INTERSECTION.

WHEREAS, Franklin County will be widening the Taylor Road and Taylor Station Road intersection this year and requires easements on city-owned property for construction of this intersection improvement; and
WHEREAS, the value of the easements will be traded for storm sewer work that the City would be required to do anyway and said storm sewer work is very cost effective when incorporated in the county project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign Warranty Deed, Easement for Channel Purposes, and Temporary Right of Way Agreement, all for the widening of the Taylor Road and Taylor Station Road intersection, said documents attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, EXHIBIT B, and EXHIBIT C.
Section 2. It is understood that in return for these easements, the County will do storm sewer work that the City would need to do anyway.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
