TITLE

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - General Fund for Clark State Multi-Use Path Feasibility Study

BODY

 

WHEREAS, the Administration and the Franklin County Engineer’s Office have been discussing the potential for a multi-use trail along Clark State Road; and

 

WHEREAS, both groups have agreed that a planning and feasibility study is necessary to determine if a trail can be built along this corridor, which includes the area extending from Hamilton Road, east past Reynoldsburg New Albany Road, into Jefferson Township; and

 

WHEREAS, the City’s Capital Improvement Plan identified the need for connector trails between Headley and Hannah Parks on the north side of this study area, as well as a connector trail from Theori Avenue South to Hamilton Road; and

 

WHEREAS, the feasibility study would identify potential alignments of future improvements within the city and among various agencies; and

 

WHEREAS, the total cost of the study is estimated to be $67,000, with a proportional cost share to the City of $25,000.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That funding in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the General Fund (1010) as follows:

 

101.08.310.5210 - Parks Professional Services: $25,000

 

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
