TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH OP AQUATICS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ADA POOL LIFTS FOR THE GAHANNA SWIMMING POOL AND THE HUNTERS RIDGE POOL; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $15,600, AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Gahanna pools must have ADA pool lifts in place by the opening of the pools this summer; and
WHEREAS, proposal has been received and the Director of Parks & Recreation has recommended we proceed with OP Aquatics for the purchase of these lifts; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this purchase as it takes approximately ten weeks to obtain and install the lifts, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with OP Aquatics, 775 Kaderly Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43228, for purchase of three ADA pool lifts for the Gahanna Swimming Pool and the Hunters Ridge Swimming Pool; Proposal attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY SIX DOLLARS ($10,876) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.440.5510, Gahanna Swimming Pool, Minor Capital, to cover there herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($4,725) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.438.5510, Hunters Ridge Pool, Minor Capital.
Section 4. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
