TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO EXTEND THE BIG WALNUT TRAIL SECTION 8 FROM THE GALLOWAY RESERVE UNDER THE I-270 BRIDGE AT BIG WALNUT CREEK AND ALONG HAMILTON ROAD TO TECHCENTER DRIVE.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the Big Walnut Creek Trail Plan the City wishes to extend the trail from the Galloway Reserve under the I-270 bridge at the Big Walnut Creek along Hamilton Road to TechCenter Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna hereby agrees to cooperate with the Director of Transportation of the State of Ohio in planning, design and construction of the identified highway improvement project and grants consent to ODOT for its development and construction of the project in accordance with plans, specifications and estimates as approved by the Director;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Cooperative Agreement between the OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION and the City of Gahanna to extend the Big Walnut Trail from the Galloway Reserve under the I-270 bridge at the Big Walnut Creek and along Hamilton Road to TechCenter Drive; Big Walnut Trail Section 8; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
