WHEREAS, the Gahanna Police Department has been working with the Airport Authority to provide various police services for several years; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to have a formal agreement defining the mutual assistance which will be given by the inter-change of police department personnel and equipment;
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement of Mutual Aid Compact with the COLUMBUS REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY, Public Safety Division, Police Section, 4600 International Gateway, Columbus, Ohio 43219, for mutual assistance for police personnel and equipment; more specifically spelled out in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
