TO AMEND CHAPTER 559, NOISE CONTROL, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Council passed ORD-0136-2012 on July 16, 2012 and it Council's desire to further amend Chapter 559; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney, Mayor, Police Department and Council have reviewed Chapter 559 and are recommending that further changes be made; and
WHEREAS, this Council feels it is imperative to put this legislation in place as quickly as possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 559, Noise Control, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna is hereby amended in accordance with EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Chapter 559, Noise Control, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herein, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
