TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - General Fund for Risk Insurance Renewal
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna joined Central Ohio Risk Management Association (CORMA) to pool with other central Ohio municipalities to purchase property and casualty insurance through RES-0007-2023; and
WHEREAS, the renewal period for CORMA is October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the total projected cost for the renewal is $323,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administrative Services requests a supplemental appropriation of $200,000 to use in conjunction with the remaining risk insurance appropriations of $140,171 in order to fund the renewal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the General Fund (1010) for programs as follows:
101.06.000.5205 - Finance Contract Services: $200,000
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
