TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO INTERGOVERNMENTAL ADMINISTRATIVE COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE MID OHIO REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION WITH REGARD TO INFRASTRUCTURE AND CLEAN OHIO PROGRAMS.

WHEREAS, the State Capital Improvement Program and the Local Transportation Improvement Program being in 1987 and 1989 respectively; and
WHEREAS, Gahanna has applied for and received more than $3.9 million in Ohio Public Works Commission grants, loans and loan assistance; and
WHEREAS, the Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission provides the technical assistance and guidance for the programs and has requesting communities enter into a voluntary agreement authorizing funding from any grant awarded to cover a part of the administrative cost if and when our community would receive funding; and
WHEREAS, this agreement covers projects awarded during calendar years 2002 to 2005;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Intergovernmental Administrative Cooperation Agreement with MID OHIO REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION, said agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
