TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH FRANK LOEHNERT, JR., FOR EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE CITY'S LIABILITY/PROPERTY INSURANCE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, it has been requested of the Service Department that services be sought to evaluate the City's Liability/Property Insurance; and
WHEREAS, letter proposal for evaluation and recommendations has been received and has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to move forward with this matter in a timely fashion; all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Frank Loehnert, 3170 Northwest Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43221, for evaluation and recommendations for the City's Liability/Property Insurance, said services to be in accordance with proposal letter, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funds in the amount of $2000 have been set aside in the 2003 Appropriations to Account No. 101.141.5441, Contract Services.
Section 3. That for reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
