SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Water Purchases

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna purchases water from the City of Columbus and each year estimates the cost of water for the year; and
WHEREAS, due to a very dry summer, water main breaks and leakage, the City owes more to the City of Columbus than is available in the Water Purchases account; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has asked for a supplemental to cover the cost of water used to be paid to Columbus;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Water Fund to Account No. 651.350.5268, Water Purchases.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
