TO ESTABLISH THE RATES OF PAY AND BENEFITS FOR UNCLASSIFIED PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2002 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2002; TO REPEAL ORD-0287-2000 AS AMENDED; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, ORD-0287-2000, passed December 18, 2000, and as amended, provided the salary and benefit package for the unclassified employees of the City of Gahanna through December 31, 2001; and
WHEREAS, ORD-0258-2001, passed December 17, 2001 amended ORD-0258-2000 until such time as labor negotiations were completed and a review by the Administration could be undertaken; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate by this Council for employee morale and continuity of City business to proceed with new legislation for salary and benefit provisions to be effective January 1, 2002, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That where not in conflict with the Charter, Ordinances, or lawfully promulgated rules and regulations of the City of Gahanna, the Master Salary Ordinance for full-time unclassified personnel of the City of Gahanna, is hereby enacted as noted in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That the pay and benefits of this ordinance shall be effective January 1, 2002, except as otherwise noted.
Section 3. That pursuant to Section 13.03, Classified and Unclassified Service, of the City Charter, and pursuant to Exhibit A attached hereto, title changes are being made to the following positions: Director of Network Operations to Director of Information Technology, Administrative Assistant Finance to Deputy Director of Finance, Administrative Assistant Network Operations to Network Administrator, and Administrative Assistant Development to Senior Planner.
Section 4. That ORD-0287-2000 or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed....
