TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A THREE YEAR AGREEMENT WITH CENTURY EQUIPMENT FOR YEARLY MAINTENANCE OF GOLF CARTS UTILIZED BY THE GAHANNA MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, to keep the golf carts at the Golf Course running smoothly and to assure that they are being properly maintained it is necessary to have yearly maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation is requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into a three year agreement with Century Equipment for the necessary yearly maintenance of the golf carts; and
WHEREAS, the agreement will cover the 2016-2018 seasons and the end of season annual maintenance; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this legislation due to the pending agreement expiration date, all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with Century Equipment, PO Box 352889, Toledo, Ohio 43635, for yearly maintenance of golf carts at the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course, said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($5,250) was set aside in 2015 Appropriations to Account No. 101.433.5249, Golf Course Contract Services, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
