TO AMEND CONTRACT WITH SCHIEBER AND ASSOCIATES; TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR SERVICES RENDERED UNDER CONTRACT AUTHORIZED BY ORD-0025-2001; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Schieber & Associates for an amendment to an existing contract; and

 

WHEREAS, this amendment to the contract approved by ORD-0025-2001 has been recommended by the Administration; and

 

WHEREAS, funding for this amendment is available in an existing Development account; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the desire and goal of this Council and Administration to continue the development of the Downtown Creekside Area to the fullest potential, all for the sound fiscal management of the area and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amended Agreement with SCHIEBER AND ASSOCIATES, 457 Waterbury Court, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for continuing services as outlined in amendment to contract and attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of Five Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($5,220) is available in Account 101.343.5253, Development, Planning, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of Signature approval by the Mayor.
