TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH LEE AND ASSOCIATES, FOR GRANT ASSISTANCE SERVICE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, it has been recommended by the Director of Emergency Management that we enter into agreement with Lee & Associates, Government Grant Specialists, to utilize their Grant Assistance Service; and
WHEREAS, Lee & Associates has submitted their proposal for this Grant Assistance Service; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to move forward as quickly as possible in order to begin to work on available grants, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with Lee & Associates, 7652 Sawmill Road, #323, Dublin, Ohio 43016-9296 for Grant Assistance Services as outlined in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That the amount of SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the general fund to Account No. 101.212.5276, Grants, for this contract.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2002 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
