TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH SIDNEY I. BLATT/FRANKLIN STEEL CO., FOR PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT AND TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 737, EASTGATE SANITARY SEWER; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $50,000 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City needs temporary construction easement and sanitary sewer easement for property owned by Sidney I. Blatt/Franklin Steel Co., known as the Eastgate Sanitary Sewer, Improvement No. 737, ; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this purchase to begin construction of the sanitary sewer for the area, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase contract with Sidney I. Blatt/Franklin Steel Co., for property to be used as temporary easement and construction easement for the Eastgate Sanitary Sewer, Improvement No. 737.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.349.5821, Capital Projects, Development TIF, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-1-2000, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
