WHEREAS, proposal has been received, and has been recommended by the Administration, to increase the scope of services for the Bedford 1 and 2 Landfill Closure and Redevelopment Project; and

 

WHEREAS, funding for this increased scope of services has been set aside in the 2002 Appropriations in the amount of $100,000; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the desire and goal of this Council and Administration to move forward with this project in order to obtain closure of Bedford 1 and 2 Landfills, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amended Agreement with M E COMPANIES, 635 Brooksedge Boulevard, Westerville, OH  43081, for an increased scope of services as outlined in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.

 

Section 2.  That this increased scope of services is awarded with a not to exceed amount set of $100,000.

 

Section 3.  That funding for this increased scope of services was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations in the amount of $100,000 to Account No. 101.343.551,, Development, Capital Projects.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
