TO AMEND CHAPTER 921, SANITARY SEWER CONNECTIONS AND RENTAL RATES, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, TO BE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2011; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is time to update sewer rental rates and partial payments for 2011; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the efficient operation of the billing division of the Department of Public Service to have these rates in place for the first billing cycle in 2011, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 921, Sanitary Sewer Connections and Rental Rates, is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Chapter 921, Sanitary Sewer Connections and Rental Rates, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
