TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE OHIO ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,500.

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation is requesting authorization to apply for grant funds for the Ohio Environmental Education Fund in the amount of $4,500; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant is for the redesign of signage in the Geroux Herb Garden at City Hall, making it accessible to those with a variety of physical limitations and this signage is meant to educate the public regarding native plantings and ecosystems, showing visitors how these could be translated to the home landscape

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to sign and submit the Ohio Environmental Education Fund grant application for the redesign of signage in the Geroux Herb Garden at City Hall

 

Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents required by law, policies and agreements in making such application and, if the City is selected as a grant recipient, accepting the grant funds.

 

Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and after approval by the Mayor.
