TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH MT BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES TO LEASE A MULTI-FUNCTION COPY, PRINT, FAX, SCAN MACHINE FOR THE PARKS AND FACILITIES DIVISION; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Parks and Facilities offices are using an inefficient old fashioned printer and must come to City Hall for many of their copier needs; and
 
WHEREAS, the Acting Director of Technology has determined that by entering into a lease for a multi-function copy, print, fax and scan machine costs will be reduced and multiple trips to City Hall will be eliminated; and
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed to enter into this lease for the smooth running of the Parks and Facilities offices, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Lease Agreement with MT BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES, 750 Brooksedge Plaza Drive, Westerville, Ohio 43081, for a multi-function copy, print, fax, scan machine; Lease Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part hereof.
 
Section 2.  That funding is available in Account No. 101.431.5249, Parks Contract Services, and Account No. 101.437.5249, Park Facilities Contract Services, and will be set aside in the 2013 Appropriations to the same accounts, to cover the herein costs.  
 
Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
