WHEREAS, Gatsby's Bar & Grille has been providing Thanksgiving Day meals for senior citizens in Gahanna for 30 years; and
WHEREAS, all food and drink provided to seniors is at no cost, and food is delivered to those who cannot travel to Gatsby's; and
WHEREAS, all food and drink items are donated by local food stores and businesses; and
WHEREAS, special thanks is hereby extended to Doug and Gina Vance, owners of Gatsby's Bar & Grille; and
WHEREAS, special thanks also goes to kitchen helpers: Dick Larimer, Jack Petric, Bob Kurczewski, Tom Kurczewski, Lori Larimer, Jim Hess, Joan Hess, Glen Fitzgerald and Mike Kurczewski; and drivers Jeff Petric, Clint Sahr, Mike Allen and Andre Taylor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Gatsby's Bar & Grille and owners Doug and Gina Vance are hereby honored and commended for their great service to the community and to our senior citizens, and are encouraged to continue this great tradition for many years to come.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
