TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON, INC., FOR THE EASTGATE SANITARY SEWER INSPECTION; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $9,028 THEREFOR, AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the inspection services have exceeded the contract amount on the Eastgate portion of the East Industrial Sanitary Sewer project due to the addition of a segment to connect Eastgate with Crossroads; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed to cover the increased scope of services for the inspection contract; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide these inspection services in a timely fashion, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amended contract with Evans, Mechwart, Hambleton & Tilton, Inc., 170 Mill Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for TIF Inspection Services for the Eastgate Industrial Park.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of NINE THOUSAND TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($9,028) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the SSCI Fund to Account 662.361.5821, TIF Sewer to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
