TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GENERAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL FOR POLICE BUILDING AIR CONDITIONER PROJECT.

WHEREAS, bids were opened on October 23, 1998, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible, and responsive bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to proceed with this purchase at the earliest possible date;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor authorized to enter into contract with GENERAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL, INC., 970 West Walnut Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110, for Gahanna Police Building Air Conditioner in accordance with bid and City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of Twenty-nine Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($29,750) was set aside in the 1998 Appropriations to Account No. 101.211.5512, Capital Projects/Equipment, Police, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
