WHEREAS, RALPH WINTERS had a great desire to serve the City that he had made his home; and
WHEREAS, RALPH WINTERS was appointed to the Civil Service Commission on March 24, 1997; and
WHEREAS, RALPH WINTERS served on the Civil Service Commission for 10 years, serving as Chairman in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007, and as Vice Chairman in 2003 and 2004; and
WHEREAS, RALPH WINTERS served countless hours monitoring and proctoring tests for classified employees of the City, including full day police officer entry level and physical fitness tests, and promotional practical tests; and
WHEREAS, his dedication and sacrifice have been unparalleled, and he always stood up for what he believed; and
WHEREAS, RALPH WINTERS will be missed by those who have had the pleasure of working with him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby honors and commends RALPH WINTERS for his dedication and 10 years of service to the Civil Service Commission and wishes him well in all future endeavors.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
