WHEREAS, proposal has been received from TriCar, to develop a primer relating to the identification of practical solutions to wet basements and or foundation soil settlement problems in the Gahanna Heights area, and the City Engineer has recommended we accept it and proceed; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this project as soon as possible, all for the preservation of the public, peace, health, safety and welfare:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with TRICAR LTD., 6237 Wynford Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43016, to develop a primer relating to the identification of practical solutions to wet basements and or foundation soil settlement problems in the Gahanna Heights area; said Agreement attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.

 

Section 2.  That to cover the herein costs, funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($4,760) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.145.5533, Capital Projects, Engineering.

 

Section 3. That ORD-1-2000, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
