TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH KEY CHRYSLER, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2014 RAM 1500 QUAD CAB 4X4 PICKUP TRUCK; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $24,520 THEREFOR.
 
Body
WHEREAS, on March 25, 2014, a parked water/sewer truck was struck by a vehicle exiting the freeway and was totaled; and
 
WHEREAS, three comparative quotes were obtained for a replacement vehicle; and
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service is recommending we move forward with Key Chrysler for the purchase of a 2014 RAM 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 Pickup Truck;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Purchase Agreement with KEY CHRYSLER, 2020 North Detroit Street, Xenia, Ohio 45385, for the purchase of a 2014 RAM 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 Pickup Truck for a price of $24,520.
 
Section 2.  That funding in the amount of TWELVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($12,260) is supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Water Fund to Account No. 651.350.5512, Water Capital Equipment.
 
Section 3. That funding in the amount of TWELVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($12,260) is also supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Sanitary Sewer Fund to Account No. 661.360.5512, Sanitary Sewer Capital Equipment.
 
Section 4. That ORD-0001-2014, passed January 2014, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
 
Section 5.  That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
