WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna is very honored to have the USO come to the Gahanna Freedom Festival and thanks Heartland Bank for their efforts in getting them to participate in our festival; and
WHEREAS, the USO of Central & Southern Ohio works to help lift the spirits of Ohio's service men and women and their families, and this is a perfect opportunity for Gahanna residents to show our appreciation for our active military by supporting the USO at the festival; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna and our citizens wish to thank the USO for coming to our festival and helping it to be the best Freedom Festival we have ever had; and
WHEREAS, we truly honor our service men and women and celebrate our country:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the City of Gahanna, along with the Parks & Recreation Department and all associated with the Freedom Festival do hereby thank, honor and commend the USO for helping us SAVE THE FREEDOM FESTIVAL!
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
